Winter Wonderland


Here we are, at the tail end of oh-ten, and it’s mightily cold back home in Germany. Makes for scenic views, though – both in the countryside...


...and in the city. Here’s Hamburg’s harbor on a particularly beautiful winter day. Sunshine in the middle of December – all too rare in this part of the world.

Pawprints in the Snow


Back in Germany, they’re having a real winter this year – just like in 2005 when I took this snapshot of a black cat and the traces it left in the fresh white snow.

A Taste of Summer


It’ll be a few more months before the little village in Northern Germany feels as summery again as you see it on this photo. Right now it’s cold, dark, and grey – and I’m happy to be in California...
